Tom and Calvin met during their years of service with the UK Fire Brigade. Between them, they attended thousands of incidents across commercial premises, residential blocks, industrial facilities and high-risk environments. They know — from direct experience — what causes fires to spread, what kills people, and critically, what stops both from happening.
When they left the brigade, the path forward was clear. Too many assessments are carried out by consultants with textbook knowledge but no operational background. Too many property managers are left with reports that tick a legal box but fail to identify genuine risk.
R&W Fire Solutions was founded to change that. Every assessment, every inspection, every training session is delivered with the rigour and authority that only comes from having worn the kit and done the job.
With 22 years of active service, Tom brings unmatched operational depth to every fire safety engagement. He leads on Fire Risk Assessments, consultancy, and client relationships, drawing on direct experience of what happens when fire safety measures fail.

Calvin's 17.5 years in the brigade gave him specialist understanding of how buildings behave under fire conditions. He leads on fire door inspections, equipment services and passive systems, and is expanding his certifications into fire door testing.
